The FM359 corridor southwest of Houston often attracts the home buyer that wants some acreage amidst wide-open spaces. Residents can enjoy the massive George Bush Park on the far west side of Houston. Named after the 41st President of the United States, this 7,800-acre park is about seven miles long. There is an area for radio-controlled planes and another for dogs. There's even a gun range. Hiking trails and bike paths meander throughout the park. If hills are a bit daunting to you on your hikes, this flatter landscape might offer some appeal. The facility connects to Terry Hershey Park.
